Allisence Chang is a spring 2008 graduate of Michigan State University. She has degrees in Journalism, with an emphasis in graphic design, and in Spanish. She spent her last semester studying at La Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Quito, Ecuador, which fed her interests in exploring the world of design and traveling. While she was at MSU, she worked for The State News as a designer, graphic artist and design editor; and was a finalist for SND's 2007 "The Intern" contest. Last summer, she also had a graphics internship at The Virginian-Pilot. After Poynter, she will work at The Arizona Republic as a Pulliam Fellow. Eventually, she hopes to work as a newspaper designer/graphic artist either in the United States or abroad.
